The Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems contributes to the digitization of the practice activity within BUES
On February 12, 2025, a dedicated working meeting was held to present the BUES’ new internship platform, an innovative project aimed at digitizing and streamlining the internship process for students.
The event gathered Prof. Dorel Mihai Paraschiv, Ph.D – Vice-Rector for Relations with the Socio-Economic Environment and Student Life, Prof. Paul Pocatilu, Ph.D – Vice-Rector for Information Infrastructure Development and Logistics, the deans of the BUES’s faculties, together with the vice-deans responsible for relations with the socioeconomic environment and student life, as well as the team of developers of the application, Chess Coders.
This initiative is supported by KPMG, through the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems and its main objective is to modernize and simplify the internship process, offering students, professors and internship partners an intuitive and efficient digital tool.
The new platform makes it easier to manage all aspects of the internship, from identifying relevant opportunities to monitoring progress, thus reducing administrative burdens and improving the user experience.
With this digital solution, BUES is taking an important step towards integrating technology into the educational process, strengthening the link between academia and business while supporting students in developing the skills needed for a successful career.

The Conference papers will be registered in the National Bibliometric Tool and in the Institutional Repository of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova – IREK. Each accepted paper will receive a unique DOI code.

ICBE 2025 call for papers

Dear students,
We would like to invite you to the 19th International Conference on Business Excellence. Leading Change in Disruptive Times, organized by the Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) during 20-22 March 2025.
This year, our Faculty is coordinating four mini-tracks in research areas related to the accounting field:
- Sustainability reporting: the accounting profession’s role in sustainable development
- Reshaping accounting through digital transformations, technological advancements, and innovations
- Challenges, issues and opportunities of ERP systems for business
- Accounting and Sustainable Management in a Dynamic World
In addition to the networking opportunities, the papers presented during the conference are published in the conference proceedings edited by Sciendo, the last eight editions of which are already indexed in Web of Science. The papers included in the last volume, published in June 2024, were indexed in WoS in July 2024.
The submission deadline is February 20, 2025.

Annual International Conference – Accounting and Management Information Systems faculty
The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, through the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems, signed a cooperation agreement with Prague University of Business and Economics and Krakow University of Economics to organize in partnership and on a rotating basis, an annual conference, the Annual Conference on Finance and Accounting, with the aim of increasing international exposure and stimulating the creation of a network of researchers in Central and Eastern Europe.
In 2025 the local organizer is the Prague University of Business and Economics and the period is May 22-23. More details about the current edition are available here.
In 2026 the Accounting and Management Information Systems Conference will be organized in Bucharest and the 2027 event will be hosted in Krakow.

Business Plan Competition – 2024 National Economists in Training Olympics
This year, the national phase of the business plan competition of the National Economists in Training Olympiad (ONEF) will be held at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, from December 6 to 7, 2024. The presentations will take place on December 6 (Friday) and, if applicable, on December 7, 2024 (Saturday).
For the selection of business plan proposals, please submit your proposal, according to the template provided by the Association of Romanian Faculties of Economics, together with the declaration filled in and signed by each team member to decan@cig.ase.ro, by November 20, 2024.

International CIMA Business Game
Since 2019 CIMA has been conducting competition among Universities students in few European countries – the online version of the AICPA&CIMA Business Game.
This year, CIMA invites students from Romania, Greece and Bulgaria to join Ukrainian undergraduates. The competition becomes even more interesting!
At the end of the game, the player who received 75 or more points must take a screenshot or a photo of the screen showing his name and final score and send it to cima.see@gmail.com to receive a certificate.
