The Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems of The Bucharest University of Economic Studies organizes on 3-4 June 2026 the 19th edition of the International Conference Accounting and Management Information Systems (AMIS 2026).
The conference is co-organized with Krakow University of Economics, Poland and Prague University of Economics and Business, Czech Republic, as part of the Eastern European Group for Accounting Research (EEGAR) network. We are partnering in this event with:
➡️ International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER), which provides speakers for the plenary symposia and organizes on 1-2 June an IAAER–ACCA Workshop as part of the Early Career Researcher Development Program (ECRDP).
➡️ Accounting in Europe who is organizing a Paper Development Workshop for CEE researchers.
The conference keynote speaker is Professor Daniel Muzio, University of York, UK.
Papers are invited in the broad areas of financial accounting, managerial accounting, accounting education, auditing, financial analysis, and management information systems.
Authors are invited to submit theoretical and empirical contributions. Various publication opportunities are available, in both international journals and conference proceedings.

The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, through the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems, will host the 2𝑛𝑑 𝐴𝑐𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐹𝑜𝑟𝑢𝑚 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑓𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 at its premises from 1 to 3 June 2026.
Accounting Forum publishes authoritative yet accessible articles which advance our knowledge of theory and practice in all areas of accounting and related subjects and welcomes papers with an interdisciplinary approach in these areas.
In line with Accounting Forum’s vision, this conference aims to bring together researchers in accounting and related areas from varying viewpoints, approaches and paradigms; provide a forum for ways we might bridge the gaps in our understanding; and broaden the scope of discussions beyond our own research groups. As such, papers addressing any interesting accounting-related research question, using appropriate research methodologies and research paradigms, are welcomed. Innovative approaches are encouraged.

The conference will start in the afternoon of 1 June with the Emerging Scholars Colloquium – which aims at introducing emerging scholars, including PhD students and early career researchers, into the accounting research community and providing them an opportunity to present and discuss their research projects alongside a cohort of distinguished international academics – followed by two full conference days.
